  Helen Lorraine Wallace Virginia Beach - Helen L. Wallace, 86, of East Admiral Drive, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Eleanor Westwig. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Wallace and her sister, Evelyn Leighton. Born in Minneapolis, MN, she grew up in South Portland, ME, where she met her husband. They raised three children together and Helen excelled as the wife of a career Navy officer. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage and was very involved with the Sons of Norway. Helen is survived by three children, Richard A. Wallace and wife, Teri, of Ocala, FL, Diane W. Bostic of Virginia Beach, VA, and David R. Wallace and wife, Colleen, of Ruckersville, VA; four grandchildren, Scott, Kaitlin, Derek, and Cheyenne; and countless friends and neighbors who considered her family. A memorial service will be conducted at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home on North Great Neck Rd at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017. She will later be interred at Arlington National Cemetery beside her husband, Robert. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a breast cancer foundation of your choice.
