*Funeral services for Hazel (Arenson) Baker were held on Saturday, October 9 at 11 A.M. at the Kerkhoven Lutheran Church. Mrs. Baker died on Wednesday, October 6 at her home in Kerkhoven. Pastor Dennis Creswell officiated at the services, and burial was at the Hillside Cemetery.*Hazel Baker was born in Elbow Lake on March 6, 1907 to George and Ida (Evenson) Arenson. She moved to Brooten, where she was confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church, and attended grade and High School in Brooten. She married Hilliard Howard (Jack) Baker and moved to Kerkhoven to make her home. Mr. Jack Baker died in 1966. She married Maurice H. Baker on Nov. 10, 1968. She was a member of the Ladies Societies in Kerkhoven Lutheran Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary the past 25 years.
*Hazel is survived by her husband, Maurice; one son, Sheldon of Kerkhoven; three daughters, Mrs. Lynn Krohn of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Gary (Jean) Forbord of Coon Rapids, and Mrs. David (Jane) Magnuson of Madison, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Arenson and Clarence Arenson of Brooten; and Donald Arenson of Edina; three sisters, Mrs. Menvil (Mabel) Imsdahl of Brooten; Mrs. Charles (Eleanor) Harrison of Vancouver, Wash.; Mrs. James (Violet Robinson) Snyder of White Bear Lake; two step-sisters, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy Robinson) Szmiot of Roseville, and Mrs. Katherine (Robinson) Dean of Milwaukee, Wis.
*She is preceded in death by her first husband, one son (Ronald), one brother (Walter Arenson), two sisters, Cora Arenson and Mrs. Mildred (Arenson) Anderson.*
