- Arnold John Jacobsen
A loving father, grandfather and friend, Arnold John Jacobsen, 89, of Marysville, WA, passed away on December 23, 2003.
He as born on April 2, 1914 in Cooperstown, ND. Arnold resided in Marysville for 57 years. Arnold graduated from Arlington High School. He worked for the Everett Co-Op, Everett Weyerhaeuser, and until his retirement, he was in business with two of his brothers, Jacobsen Brothers Boat Works.
He was preceded in death by is wife, Viola Jacobsen; brothers, Marvell Jacobsen, and Verner Jacobsen; and his sister Lillian Hoidal.
He is survived by his children, John (Betty) Jacobsen of Stanwood, Verna (David) Molstad of Arlington, Delores Jacobsen of Riverside, CA, James Jacobsen and Teresa Daugherty both of Arlington; two brothers, William Jacobsen of Ocean Shores and Ernest Jacobsen of Soquel, CA; two cousins, Olga Taylor and Olive Lien; eight grandchildren, Russell, Kay, Terri, Jennifer, Jeanette, Anna, Lacey, and Carissa; and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 1:00pm at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett, with Rev. Kenneth Taylor officiating. At Arnold's request, there will be a private burial at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett.
